I got liposuction 8 months ago. I got massages for up to 6 mos., after surgery. I wore my compression garment and a waist cincher for at least 4 mos., following surgery. What has caused this uneven line that stretches across the front of my abdomen along waistline? What is it? Can it be corrected?

Answer: Line after liposuction It looks like you are extremely physically fit; it may actually be inscriptions of your rectus muscle that have been revealed by the liposuction. If it is from your garment or from the liposuction itself it may need further work to address it. A physical exam by your plastic surgeon should help you figure out what is really going on.

Answer: Lines after liposuction Most irregularities after liposuction are technique related, but sometimes wearing the wrong garment, and doing so for too long may contribute to a waist banding effect. The cure is simple; if your surgeon was a board certified plastic surgeon, go back and have him or her fix it. If not see a plastic surgery board certified surgeon and get a second opinion. Choose one who has done a ton of liposuction. The name that comes to mind is Dr. Bahman Teimourian who is still practicing in Bethesda Maryland. He has done more liposuctions than any other single plastic surgeon in the US, and possibly the world.
