See the right eye in the photo- the eyebrow is not symmetrical to the eyebrow on the left, and the eyelid is much droopier than the other. Would this make me a good candidate? If I wanted to lift the eyebrow to be same height as the other? And raise the right eyelid so my eye looks more open? Thanks
Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: How you may benefit from Botox injections Thank you for your question and for providing a photo. While perfect symmetry is difficult to achieve, it’s likely that you would benefit from strategically administered Botox injections to bring your eyes and brows in balance with each other. Botox is a neuromodulator formula used to calm an overactive muscle that may be causing a lack of symmetry. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector who can assess your concern and suggest the best solution.

Answer: Try non-surgical first! You are correct in identifying an asymmetry in your brow position: your right eyebrow sits slightly higher than your left eyebrow. However, you also look quite young in the photograph you shared. It is certainly possible to correct this asymmetry with an endoscopic browlift. But, in view of your age, I would suggest that you first try a treatment of Botox to slightly raise the position of your right eyebrow and slightly lower the left. This will allow you to evaluate such a change in the position of your eyebrows, in a reversible fashion, before you commit to a surgical procedure. If you decide to move forward, we would wait until the effect of the Botox wears off, before proceeding to surgery, generally three to six months.

Answer: Brow asymmetry and eyelid ptosis Based on this photo, there is a small asymmetry between brows, one is slightly higher than other. On the same side, there is a droopy upper eyelid, condition known as ptosis. Very likely that asymmetry of brows comes from the fact that lifting eyebrow patient tries to lift droopy eyelid. Once ptosis is corrected, brow asymmetry will, most likely, disappear. In person consultation with a board certified plastic or oculoplastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.
