There are no studies to support the use of Botox in pregnancy and thus its use is not recommended in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. That said, it is not unusual to have Botox injected when pregnant before the pregnancy is known. There seems to be no known ill effects. Don’t panic!! Please discuss your concerns with your OB
Hello Nicola. Plenty of people have been unknowingly injected with Botox and fillers while pregnant and there have been no reported effects on children. However, you should avoid future use of Botox and fillers until you’re done with pregnancy and breast feeding. Be sure to discuss this issue with your OB.Best wishes. Dr. Aldo
Thank you for your question and Congratulations! As there are no studies on determining the safety of Botox during pregnancy we do avoid this procedure. However, it is not unusual to have Botox injected before a pregnancy is known and there have not been any reports of adverse effects. Therefore, if you still have concerns it always good idea to bring it up with OBGYN. Best of Luck!
Congratulations on your pregnancy. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Botox toxin is used in such small amounts and is given in a dilute solution and no detectable amount will enter your blood stream and therefore will not be transferred the baby.Share info with you OB for further reassurance.Good Luck!
Although Botox is not approved during pregnancy as nothing else is either there are many instances of pregnancy occurring along with Botox and there are no reports of any adverse effect on the mother, the baby or the pregnancy
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I know it is scary but try not to worry. Your baby should be fine. There are no studies performed on pregnant women to evaluate the safety of Botox during pregnancy so it is a procedure that we avoid. If it is helpful, there was a case with a patient infected with Botulism and though she personally suffered from paralysis, her baby was not affected and had movement. The point is that it may not cross the placenta and therefore may not affect your baby. Try to take it easy and enjoy your pregnancy. Of course make sure your OB is aware of this so they can continue to monitor your baby and discuss any concerns. Congrats again!
There are no reported side effects to adjacent muscle groups associated with Botox injection into the platysmal bands

Hi Long_Nose.Yes, Botox can can be injected into a muscle called the Depressor Naris (DN). Such injections can relax this muscle and raise the nasal tip. The problem is that some people have very weak DN muscles and not much happens after Botox on some people. There's no way to test the strength...
