Thanks for your question. As a rule the closer you are to your ideal weight the better a candidate you are for surgery. Assuming that you BMI is over 30-35 liposuction at this stage would have increased risks and the safe amount to remove at one time may not come close to meeting your goals. I suggest getting involved with a formal weight loss program and an exercise program designed by a certified trainer. Your likely hood for success will increase. Good luck. Jsm

You should be as close to your goal weight as possible, before surgery, for best results. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.
