I know the skill of the doctor is a huge factor but what typically gives better skin tightening results? 5 ft 11" 205 pounds Thank you for your thoughts.

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the photos and BMI of 28, you are a good candidate for VASER Hi Def Lipo of your torso and gynecomastia. This is a highly specialized technique, it has to be all or none, to get the best natural results. This cannot be done piecemeal or only partially. I use J-Plasma or Renuvion, but to determine if this is needed depends on the physical examination.See a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. if you are looking for chest only you need lipo 360 with vaser, j plasma, nipple lift and gland removal there is a lot of puffiness there from underlying glands, and sagging that j plasma alone will not Improve. chat fat grafting tto lift the area and give more athletic shape. see my link. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

You would benefit the most from high defintion VASER liposuction. There is not an extensive amount of fat or skin so you may also consider abdominal etching. With this procedure, the PS will use a smaller cannula giving them more precision and a better ability to contour. Often times these procedures are coupled with J-plasma to improve the overall aesthetic, but it is the liposuction itself that determines most of the results. My first hand experience has not shown any skin tightening with either of these two devices.
Liposuction by itself because of the scar tissue that’s created has a shrinking effect on skin to some degree but removing fat has the opposite.
I purchased J plasma but sold a device after a year of using it because I saw no difference in outcomes.
There is no skin tightening that is effective other than skin excision.
Based on your pictures skin tightening should not be high on your priority list.
Years of experience, number of cases done and overall commitment to delivering quality results is in the end the only thing that matters.
Choose the provider not the device.
If anyone of these devices was truly superior to all other modalities than all plastic surgeons would use them. we can afford to buy equipment that is truly superior.
What these devices do better than anything else is help providers try to differentiate themselves in regards to marketing.
I simply didn’t want to sell my services based on the equipment I used so I stand by my work and not by the devices I’ve purchased.
Personally I think VASER can have a significant impact on Liposuction but the best results do not require the device. Because this device can remove fat rapidly and the surgeon does not see results while they’re actually using it it can also lead to the worst disfigured botched outcomes.
J plasma was at least in my opinion a complete waste of money.
Those who use it for facial skin resurfacing May have better use for this device. I don’t offer that treatment.
