Hi, it has been 11 months PO and I am struggling with aereola & shape asymmetries. My Dr tells me it’s because of asymmetry pre-op, but I barely had any (pic attached). He is suggesting a crescent lift because the donut is too invasive. That isn’t solving my problem though. What is wrong with me? Please help!
Answer: Breast implants Do not bother with either a crescent or donut lift. It’s not worth the scars and your result is actually quite nice as it is

Answer: Breasts You have two issues, but one is fixable. I am not a fan of the crescent lift since usually it just elongates the areola. The doughnut lift has more control in keeping a round shape and will help place the areola higher. However, just based on your photos only, one implant appears to be sitting a little higher and this can be adjusted. Once adjusted, probably you will look similar. However, the difference is mild and may not be worth surgery. You could try oral Accolate and external ultrasound treatments to see if the pocket could be softened. For your second concern, naturally, your breasts point outward which is related to your bone structure. This cannot be changed. Your breasts, no matter the size, will always point outward. On you, this looks natural. You actually have a nice result, and in a bra, no one will notice the difference.

Answer: Asymmetry Thank you for posting your photograph. It does tell the story. Your preoperative breast asymmetry could certainly explain your current asymmetry. The process of tissue expansion will sometimes amplify pre-existing differences. If you were my patient, I would advise against any additional surgery because the consequences of Extra scarring is unlikely to adequately address the asymmetry that you see. You have a very nice result. Don’t blow it by attempting to achieve perfection. Good luck

Answer: Postop breast augmentation with preop, slight symmetries Based on your nicely posted photos, you before photos do show nipple complex, a symmetry, the minor therefore when you increase the size of the breast, these minor cemeteries become more noticeable. I agree with you. You need a donut on the nipple complex that is slightly lower this could be done under anesthesia fee for this is $3000-$5000. Best virtual consult with.

Answer: Putting the breast under tension with large implants From your pictures, it looks like your breast are 400% larger than before surgery if not more. Using large implants is going to put your tissues under tension. The more tension there is on the skin the more likely scars are to widen overtime. I probably wouldn’t do anything at this point and just accept that this is the consequence of using large implants. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
