Help! Adverse Reaction to Laser Genesis - Dozens And Dozens of Bumps. Any Suggestions to Get Rid of Them? (photos)

Hi KarenInNB and thanks for your question.  There can be many factors at play here and it's more likely the Genesis acted as trigger for the apparent allergic reaction.   With the Genesis treatment it's important to avoid products containing retinol, retinoic acids, benzoyl peroxice, hydroquinones, vitamin C, glycolic & salicylic acids and products containing astringents(too many to list).  Sun exposure prior to and afterwards is important as well.  Oral type medications, in particular antibiotics such as doxycycline should be avoided during the treatments.  Please stop using the Neosporin as this can be irritating and is occlusive to the skin as well.  The most important thing is to get back into your provider and they can work with you on figuring out how to resolve your current reaction and also prevent future ones as well.  

That is a very unusual reaction to laser Genesis.  I wonder if you are actually having an allergic reaction to a product that was placed on your skin.  Hopefully, by now, you have seen a dermatologist and received some help and guidance.  If not, I would continue with the cortisone twice daily and stop using all of your current products and make-up.  Once the bumps resolve, you can begin adding back in products one at a time in order to be sure you aren't allergic to any of them.Best of luck to you.
