Can Finasteride help you maintain PRP results even after you stop doing sessions?

Finasteride works by inhibiting DHT formation. PRP has multifactorial growth factors and cytokines. Combining the two are synergistic. In my experience, finasteride will not maintain PRP by itself.. However, I have found that the spacing between treatments can often be extended. Monitoring hair loss is the defining factor.

The answer is no. If PRP works and you stop doing PRP then you lose the hair you gained. Now if finasteride helps then you might get some benefit again and it may seem like the finasteride kept all the growth you achieved through PrP. But in reality the finasteride simply told the hairs to grow. If finasteride does not help, then you are back at square 1. I hear many patients say they were told to do  treatment #1 for a while and then switch to treatment #2 for maintenance. It’s pure nonsense.
