How long does it take for hair fall once you have a break from minoxidil 5%? (Photo)

Question

I have been on a Advance hair studio programe signed up for 9 momths. In this time I have only had 3 bottle of minoxidil with about a 3-4 week waiting period in between bottles. I have noticed improvement last month, now that I have been waiting for my new bottle im affraid my progress is starting to go backwards.

If you stop using topical minoxidil you will likely lose all the hairs you gained from using it.  This will happen gradually over several weeks.

A bit of increased shedding occurs about 3-4 weeks after stopping minoxidil and then mores in weeks 6-12. Shedding after stopping minoxidil is often good sign that it was probably doing something to help.

usually after you stop rogaine or minoxidil the hair that had fall off because go minoxidil will start to fall off.  It usually starts after a month, we usually recommend to taper it off. But that does not stop the shedding.

Hair that is grown from minoxidil is dependent upon minoxidil and will fall out if the medication is stopped. It often takes 1-3 months for the fall out to occur. It will almost always happen in the hair is dependent on the minoxidil, so if you are using it and it has good results, keep on it. Minoxidil is sold in pharmacies and food stores in the US.
