I perform a LOT of chin liposuction and often combine it with buccal fat removal. There is absolutely no problem wearing the compression garment and it will not change your results. The main reason for the garment is to prevent a fluid collection. Believe it or not, it also makes patients a bit more comfortable because it keeps the swelling down.Please don't hesitate to wear the garment - I'm sure you're going to love your results!Good Luck!
In my practice I commonly perform both buccal fat removal and chin liposuction at the same time (usually under local anesthesia without sedation). Because of the liposuction the patient must wear a chin compression strap 24 Horus a day for 5 days Wearing the chin compression garment doesn't affect the outcome of the buccal fat removal in my patients. Actually it helps to prevent the post surgical welling of the cheeks.
Undergoing chin liposuction and buccal fat pad removal operations at the same time and wearing a compression garment for your chin should not cause any problems and affect your results.
