Can I wash my face 6 hours after Botox?

Botox injections are placed below the skin.  I recommend that my patients stay away from facial massages and intense physical activities the day of their treatment.  Botox patients may continue with their regular skin care routine after injections, but do not rub the area aggressively. My patients are instructed that they can gently apply cosmetics immediately post-injection if desired.  I always recommend speaking to the doctor that performed your injections with about any questions or concerns.

You may wash your face after botox treatments. This will not effect the results. It may take up to 7-14 days to see maximal results from botox.

It is perfectly safe to wash your face after having Botox injected.  Just try not to wash aggressively over the areas of treatment, and it’s usually a good idea to avoid strenuous exercise the same day.
