I have sort of a protrusion immediately above the center of my eyebrows. It's not bone, rather it's muscle. I'm wondering if Botox can soften this area? If so, where do the injections need to take place? Pics are attached.
Answer: Botox for prominent brow Thank you for your question. Botox would likely be helpful in reducing the prominence of that muscle group, (Glabella). By rendering the glabella inactive with a neurotoxin such as Botox, Xeomin or Dysport, it should atrophy over time and reduce the bulged appearance. Botox treatments will need to be repeated every three months to achieve the desired outcome. Best of luck.

Answer: Enlarged forehead muscle can improve with Botox The enlarged muscles in the forehead may flatten after Botox injections but depending on the number of units needed to treat very large muscle mass, the forehead may lower significantly and bring with it the eyebrows to look older by flattening and making the upper eyelids look hooded and saggy. So it's best to start slowly with small units, 1-2 per insertion site and not too close together and not close to the level of the mid eyebrow. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Answer: Botox for reducing the brow ridge area? Yes, botox is a good option to decrease the bulk of the corrugator muscle in that area. It takes away your ability to frown and over time the muscle will atrophy as all muscles do without use. The results that you are looking for will not happen overnight. It may take several injections of botox about 3 to 4 months apart to see decrease in muscle size, providing you get the injections regularly to keep the muscle paralyzed. Best wishes.
