I'm a 19 year old girl still in college and my face gives an extremely tired old look. the right side of my face seems to lack fat in the cheek/eye area compared to the left side making it look flat and unproportionate. This completely throws off the symmetry of my face and makes me look older. Maybe fixing the chin/cheek area would help? Also, my mouth area protrudes out my face. Makeup helps me look less tired. Is there any way to help my face look more youthful? what procedures could be done?
Answer: How to help? Without an exam your question cannot be answered. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision: Candidates for Chin Augmentation - Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation #weakchin #chinimplant

Answer: Facial Flatness and Asymmetry Your are correct in that your midface is flat from the base of the nose up to the cheeks/orbital rims. The combination of cheek-infraorbital and paranasal-maxillary implants would effectively pull your midface outward giving your face better balance and reducing the amount of mouth protrusion. I don't see any rap benefit to chin augmentation although your deeper labiomental fold could be fat grafted which would make the lower lip look less protrusive.

Answer: Facial asymmetry Thanks for the great question. Everyone has a little bit of facial asymmetry which is total normal. People who have been photoshopped to have totally symmetrical faces don't look normal to the human eye. If you're looking for a little more balance between the two sides of your face, I would give fillers a try. The filler will be able to add more volume to your one side, giving you better facial symmetry. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber

Answer: Help unsymmetrical flat face and protruding mouth for a more youthful look? Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures over the past 30 years, using dermal fillers, facial implants, liposuction and facelifts. From the photos, your cheeks are very flat in the front with the left side being more narrow and flat than the right, there is a slight amount of excess fat in the lower face and the chin is weak. These combine to create a facial shape that is an elongated oval. Every face has some degree of asymmetry and the amount in your face is average. I would like to stress the fact that symmetry by itself does not make the face beautiful or handsome. It's the presence of aesthetically shaped facial features that create beauty in the face. Following that logic, your face can be made to appear more naturally, feminine and beautiful if the most aesthetically important facial features are ideally shaped as discussed below. Following my beauty principles, of the face and body, that I have developed over the past 3 decades, women look the most feminine and attractive with heart shaped faces. From my studies, heart shaped faces have shapely cheeks that are full and round in the front. Your cheeks can be similarly shaped with cheek augmentation using silastic cheek implants that will feminize the entire face. I would combine liposuction to further shape the cheeks and face. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face look short, de-emphasizes lip fullness and allows early formation of a double chin. Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick and highly effective. The procedure can be done in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.Hope this helps.
