I just got Botox in my forehead for the first time on 3/1. When the doctor says it usually lasts 2-3 months for first time patients, does that mean 2-3 months from injection or 2-3 months from when it starts to take effect ~1-2 weeks after injection?

Answer: Does Botox last 2-3 months from the time of injection for a first time patient? I would say that Botox does last about 2-3 months from the time of injection for the first time patient. The longevity of the result can depend on the dose used however, and I have seen an effect from Botox last 4 months or sometimes even a bit longer.

Answer: Botox lasts about 3-4 months Hi,Thank you for your question. Botox has a dose dependent duration and typically lasts about 3-4 months between the eyebrows and at the crow's feet. The forehead itself tends to last a little bit less (2-3 months) because it's the only brow elevator and most injectors will avoid over-treatment of the frontalis muscle to minimize the risk of heaviness.I think most injectors don't differentiate between the 1-2 weeks from the treatment day to the day of maximal result (2 weeks). As others have mentioned, the results of Botox will gradually wear off around 3 months or sooner for area that require fewer units.Hope this helps!
