I've been getting Botox for years, always from a Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon.. I've never had bruising very straightforward procedures. This past week I had injections in crows feet, and the physician said I'm sorry your going to bruise.. immediately there was a bruise which healed by the next day only to present a red mark ( bruise?) 1/2 inch away from injection site corner of the outer eye.. that seem to resolve than days later I have another red mark. 5 days out? What's going on? Help!
Answer: Bruising Bruising is a possibility with Botox injections even the best hands. Fortunately bruising is temporary and typically resolves within 2 weeks. Some patients find the use of Arnica helpful to resolve bruising. Be sure to stop medications that thin the blood prior to injection such as aspirin, NSAIDS, Vitamin E and fish oil.

Answer: I've had bruising then healing only to present again 5 days after Botox injections in my crows feet. Thank you for your questions. There are several small veins that run throughout the face and after enough injections, you are going to get unlucky and hit a small vein and can cause a bruise. It will usually resolve with time and should not cause any long term problems. Discuss any concerns with your injector. Hope this helps!Dallas R. Answer: Bruising after Botox injections Bruising is relatively frequent in the course of Botox injections. Placing 20-25 injections in very vascularised skin of the face and around eyes creates possibility of injuring any of thousands of small skin vessels. Use of alcohol (glass of vine night before Botox injection), NSAI pain killers, garlic and multiple other remedies will increase chance for bleeding/bruising. It usually goes away in 5-7 days and can be easily camouflaged with make up. Nothing serious and definitely not a "mistake" of a doctor. Good luck.

Answer: I've had bruising then healing only to present again 5 days after Botox injections in my crows feet. Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your bruising issues. At times it can take blood a few days to reach the skin surface to manifest as a bruise. This bruising typically resolves spontaneously but can take time. I would pursue warm compresses to the areas currently affected and they should disappear within 7-10 days time.

Answer: Bruising in the crow's feet area Thank you for your questions. Bruising is very common in the crows feet due to this area being highly vascular. Even in the best hands this can happen. It is possible for another bruise to surface a few days later. This should resolve within 2 weeks. I hope this helps.
