Swelling after SculpSure? The swelling scares me. Will it last more than a week?

Question

I had 3 panels put on each inner thigh today for Sculpsure. It hurt a lot and I was shaking... I’m still tender (6 hours later) and I’m extremely swollen where the applicators were. I’m drinking a lot of water and green tea. I was told not to take Advil and that I could take Tylenol but I haven’t. The swelling scares me. Will it last more than a week?! Any advise is appreciated! Thanks!

I would say that the inner thighs are one of the more sensitive areas to treat with SculpSure.  It is possible to develop some swelling after the treatment, but this normally should begin to resolve after just a matter of days.  If you feel that it is not improving, you should contact the physician who treated you.

Thank you for the question. There is no downtime with Sculpsure but there can be some swelling, tenderness and firmness at the treatment site which usually resolves within 2 weeks. In some cases it lasts longer.
I would suggest you follow up with your treating practitioner to discuss any queries you have with Sculpsure.

Thank you for your question. You may experience some swelling or residual feeling right after the procedure, but SculpSure has no recovery time and you will likely begin feeling yourself in 1-2 days at most. Please feel free to discuss your recovery with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Swelling after SculpSure is very common and the inner thigh is a bit painful and swelling is expected. The swelling should last about a week.Enjoy your results when the swelling goes down!

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing so much pain after your procedure.  Swelling is normal after getting the procedure.  You can take Tylenol and use ice packs to relieve the swelling and discomfort.  Make sure you don't cross your legs after having it done on the inner thighs until the tenderness has subsided.  If it continues to bother you, you may want to contact the physician who treated you.
