I’m considering that area but also wondering if kybella is more effective.
Answer: Kybella and Sculpsure Results for Under the Chin--add thermage, ultherapy, exilis, VASER, ThermiRF Kybella is good for removing fat under the chin. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options like Kybella and some people need a series of treatments. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate and can be performed at the same time as a neck lift. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: SculpSure Thank you for your question. Patients have had remarkable results with SculpSure instead of Kybella. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine which procedure would be more effective for you. Best wishes,

Answer: Neck SculpSure Great question! SculpSure has a specially designed applicator to fit under the chin. While the technology may look a bit different, it performs the same. It's a quick, 25 minute procedure. There might be slight redness, but no bruising or swelling. You should start to see the results after about 6 weeks. Good luck!

Answer: SculpSure for under chin SculpSure for submental (under chin) has quickly become my preferred treatment for sculpting the jawline area and removing unwanted fat. I recommend a series of two treatments spaced at least 6 weeks apart. The treatment is performed by connecting one of the SculpSure applicators to headgear that holds the applicator in place under the chin for 25 minutes. In my patients, I have seen SculpSure be more effective than Kybella at much less cost to my patients. While Kybella is still an effective treatment it requires multiple treatments with multiple vials and it can get very, very expensive to see "wow" results. Additionally, I have found the post-treatment effects (mainly the swelling) to be burdensome to patients. While I still utilize Kybella in my practice, I prefer to use it sparingly, typically after treating with SculpSure first then using Kybella to treat any very small remaining pockets of fat. I have found this to produce superior results at a far less cost than using Kybella alone as a single agent.

Answer: Submental SculpSure SculpSure under the chin (also known as submental), is an effective way to reduce fat permanently in that area. It does so the way SculpSure works elsewhere: by heating the fat cells to a temperature which results in their death; then, your lymphatic ("vacuum") system comes and clears away those fat cells, leaving you with less of a bulk in that area. Two treatments - 25 minutes each - at 4-6 week intervals, are recommended, and there is about a 43% reduction in the fat cells for those 2 treatments. You should see optimal results in twelve weeks, but some people start to see a reduction in as little as 4 weeks. SculpSure may also give you some skin tightening, but the device was not made for skin tightening, and so the company cannot advertise it as such. Kybella is a series of needle injections of a substance that also result in fat cells dying. It can sometimes leave you with lumpiness (temporary) under the chin, and may give you some bruising and tenderness in that area. It is not thought to be more effective than SculpSure. Ultimately, it is a personal decision. Good luck!
