Best subdermal J Plasma results are with liposuction?

Thank you for your question. Renuvion aka J Plasma effects skin tightening by contracting the connective tissue that attaches the skin and muscle and by stimulating collagen formation. This process works best when there is little fat in between the skin and muscle, hence the practice of doing some form of liposuction prior to Renuvion.

For best results with fat removal and skin tightening, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the best results for skin tightening. Liposuction, when properly performed, results in passive skin shrinkage----what we have performed since the 1970s.  However, J Plasma/Renuvion does absolutely independently shrinks skin by tightening the ligaments that join the skin and muscle. In fact, the vast majority of my practice's patients are thin, work out and eat properly, they just have extra skin and JP/R is highly effective---but not perfect, it depends on one's skin quality, medical condition and expectations.In the attached video you can see the skin tighten over three months post procedure

Thank you for your question. J Plasma works in two ways. First, the fibrous septae or connective tissue beneath the skin contracts when exposed to the plasma energy. Second, new collagen formation is stimulated over time. J Plasma works best when the supportive connective tissue beneath the skin is able to contract the most. By evacuating or removing the fat cells with as little trauma as possible, the fibrous septae are able to contract more. For this reason, Tickle Lipo, Vaser Lipo and BodyJet are the best forms of liposuction to be used as they result in far less trauma to the connective tissue than traditional liposuction.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
