J Plasma laser for skin tightening lower face and neck?

Question

Need advice as to which doctors perform this procedure with expertise. I hear it is a relatively new procedure and not many doctors perform it. Because of the intensity of the recovery, I would prefer the doctor to be in the Florida area . Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

You are absolutely rigth J plasma is relatively new and does have lot of down time. There are several other modalities with less down time or no down time to achieve the tightening if the laxity is mild to moderate. Not many providers have J plasma experience so you would have to search your area for same.

J Plasma is a great skin tightening device, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with skin tightening for the face. I recommend J Plasma combined with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, Co2), microneedling/prp, ultherapy and rf treatments to get the best outcomes. Don't let distance dissuade you. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Renuvion (formerly known as J-Plasma) is indeed a new technology. I have been using it for neck rejuvenation for about a year now and am thrilled with the results. It is a surgical procedure even though it is done in the office so do make sure your surgeon is board certified and experienced with this tool. I disagree with the comment from the other physician re the recovery. It is actually a fairly quick recovery with minimal downtime. There is some tenderness and possible bruising for up to a week but most folks are back to all activities within a week or two. It does help though to wear a compression garment for a week or two but it does not have to be worn 24/7.
