My incision opened on one side & won't stop leaking my doctor ask me to send pic but never got back to me I'm so afarid like it's been leaking Alot & a little I'm so nervous no one will answer one what to I do their are no plastic surgeon from my town I'm a emotional rollercoaster please help me I don't want get infection I keep it clean & bandage .. Should I got ER just to get stitches

Dear Barbie,   Thanks for submitting your picture and sorry for your problem. You did not provide us with enough information, like how long are you  after surgery ? Did the wound just opened up ? Is there redness around the incision ?  Is there bad odor from the draining  fluid ?   You should consult a plastic surgeon or , at least,  go to the emergency room  , so they can send the fluid to the lab for culture and sensitivity and start you immediately on antibiotics , like Cipro, to protect the implants from infection. If the wound just opened up, it can be closed, while you are on antibiotics, but it has to be done by a surgeon, for your safety.  There is nothing wrong with traveling distance for surgery(many of my butt implants patients are out of towners)  , but it is a risk that you have to consider, not having your surgeon close by. There is a high chance that you have seroma (fluid collection) in one of the pockets or both and it will have to be drained with a syringe and a needle, either by your surgeon (travel back) or by a local surgeon that your surgeon can refer to.                          Best of luck,                                               Dr Widder

Buttock implants have an increased risk of wound dehiscence and possible skin breakdown. Best to go to ER if you think you have an active infection and you do not have access to your surgeon.
