Although they may exist in other countries, I am currently not aware of any water-based buttock implants available. If they do exist I would be very concerned about the potential for rupture and leaking leading to complete deflation/flattening. The soft semi-solid silicone rubber implants FDA approved and used in the USA are much less likely to have these problems even when if placed correctly under the gluteus muscle AND are considered permanent implants because they cannot rupture and leak silicone gel.Glad to be of help.
You are referring to the use of low profile saline breast implants which have been used for buttock augmentation.
With Brazilian butt lifts, we only offer silicone butt implants, fat grafting (from the abdomen/ inner thighs most commonly), or both. Saline butt implants are not offered because of the high risk of rupturing.
