Dear E, Sorry for your problem, but saline implants , or even silicone gel implants, for that matter, are not a good idea because of 2 reasons: 1. They can break and leak due to intense sexual activity. 2. Since they are not somewhat firm (semi solid), they do not create a nice anatomical (oval) shape, but rather a bubble shape in the middle of the butt, which is not attractive. More over, they are susceptible to capsule contracture deformity, unlike the semi solid implants that can resist the deforming forces of capsule contracture. The problem that you have might be, also, in addition to the hardness, due to capsule contracture that create small pocket and does not allow movement (jiggling) of the implants, so when you lie on them they hurt. Another important point is, if you have round implants inside the muscle, they look unnatural and more like bubble butt, which is not attractive. The technique that I used on about 600 patients is sub fascial, which allows for insertion of larger implants (my biggest is 660 cc) and create a natural oval shape pocket. The implants that I use are made of ultra soft semi solid silicone with oval round shape. The technique and implants create a nice 'S' curve (shelf) , nice projection, round hips and look very natural. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who, preferably use the above mention approach and operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with the above mentioned features and single hidden incision between the cheeks. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Buttock implants we have today are similar to the gummy bear implants or slightly firmer. To me they feel like soft gel shoe inserts.
While it is unknown as to the durometer (softness) of your current buttock implants, custom buttock implants can be made of very low durometer that feels like a squishy gel. Saline implants are not a solution for a variety of reasons including their high propensity for deflation in a load bearing area.
Yes, there are many options for your Brazilian butt lift. We offer silicone implants, fat grafting (most commonly from your abdomen or inner thighs), or both. We don't offer saline implants due to the risk of it breaking.
With Brazilian butt lifts, we only offer silicone butt implants, fat grafting (from the abdomen/ inner thighs most commonly), or both. Saline butt implants are not offered because of the high risk of rupturing.
Long term complication of implants in the fascia is that it will move/migrate and you will need a revision down the road. The definitive operation is in the muscle due to its stability. I have butt implants below the muscle from 10-15 yrs that haven't moved, and still kept its shaped.
A Brazilian butt lift can be via 1) butt implants-silicone 2) fat grafting (from your abdomen/ flanks/ thighs/ elsewhere) 3) both. As far as max size, you need more fat on your body to graft it to your butt. If you want silicone, you could use a bigger size if your skin elasticity allows it. ...
