Is it safe to DIY inject filler and Botox by yourself?

If you hit a blood vessel, which is very possible in the vascular areas of the face, you could risk a blood clot and even stroke. Misplaced injections near the eyes could lead to impaired vision and blindness. I strongly advise you to find an experienced, board-certified injector who can perform your treatment safely and effectively.

Many things can go wrong with the use of hyaluron pen. Most importantly you don't know if the product you're injecting is hyaluronic acid and you don't know if it is sterile. The hyaluron pen must be loaded in a sterile way and it too has to be sterile. One also has to know where and how to inject the filler to obtain the results which are acceptable. There are many other things that can go wrong with a use of this device and I would encourage people not to use it. But then again there will always be few brave ones or stupid ones who will use it and they will require a great deal more care to fix the problems they create. The simple answers that it is NOT safe. Additionally, you will not get the results you are hoping for. Though not yet banned in the US, Canada has banned Hyaluron Pen and similar devices. Although the company claims that it lasts a while, to get it to go through the skin it has to be non cross linked, meaning it will be absorbed by the body almost immediately. Any plump you get will be from the injury from the injection. Other fillers and "Botox" you could inject are even more dangerous. It is illegal to sell these other than to physicians, so what you get will not be what you thought you were purchasing. Additionally, I am very good at injecting these but would never consider injecting a filler on myself.
