Is it safe to DIY inject filler and Botox by yourself?

Question

I was watching YouTube for skin care tips, I found out that there are so much YouTube videos showing people how to inject Botox and PPC. I know filler is unsafe and a YouTuber teach people to pump lips with a hyaluron pen. My concern is that what is the greatest risk if something goes wrong with these procedures? Another question is that are these legal in USA? Also is hyaluron pen legal to use in USA?

Thank you for your question. I cannot caution you enough against trying to do injectable treatments yourself. In addition to ending up with less-than-stellar results, you run a high risk of potentially dangerous side effects, including infection, scarring, tissue necrosis, and disfigurement. If you hit a blood vessel, which is very possible in the vascular areas of the face, you could risk a blood clot and even stroke. Misplaced injections near the eyes could lead to impaired vision and blindness. I strongly advise you to find an experienced, board-certified injector who can perform your treatment safely and effectively.

Hi there, we absolutely do not recommend DIY facial injections. You must receive facial injections from a certified injector. DIY injections have major side effects, such as; infection, deformity, skin necrosis, blindness, blocked blood vessel (which can cause a heart attack or stroke), and more. Please visit your local expert injector. They will further educate you on why this is a bad idea.

It is never advised to have patients inject their own toxin or filler. Always consult with a board certified cosmetic physician before any procedure.
