I met Dr. Murgia at the Maryland Laser and Vein Institute located in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where Dr. Murgia had just completed his fellowship in Dermatology Cosmetics. He was trained by the renowned Drs. Robert and Margaret Wise. I had the honor of receiving Hand Rejuvenation Treatment by Dr. Murgia. I am a 58 year old female who had gaunt looking hands that were in desperate need of some attention. The recommended procedure, by Dr. Murgia, involved the use of a filler, Radiesse, to increase the lost volume on the top of my hands. Second part of the procedure, performed about 2 months later, involved a Fraxel Dual 1550/127 laser treatment session to remove the sun damaged skin as well as dark spots and blemishes caused by my exposure to UV rays over my lifetime. 

The results were absolutely amazing! I cannot believe the miraculous results. After that procedure, I was now ready to have laser treatment done on my face. In February of 2020, I had the good Doctor perform a Fraxel 1927 on my face to even the pigmentation issues first. This was recommended by him to be completed prior to the final treatments. Basically, we would be starting with a clear complexion. This took two sessions to complete. However, my anticipated timeline was thrown off course by Covid-19. I was scheduled to start the next phase of facial the Rejuvenation procedure, Fraxel 1550, but I was delayed several months until elective procedures were allowed once again by the state government. The 1550 Fraxel procedure is designed to remove any fine lines or wrinkles, acne scars, and unsightly blemishes. This was expected to take several treatments, but is only recommended during the Fall to Spring months, as the sun’s UV radiation may cause some issues. Therefore, I was only able to have one Fraxel 1550 treatment and will resume sometime in the Fall months to complete my final procedures, however, I cannot stress enough the work which this Doctor has done for me. 

Unfortunately, he has relocated and will not be completing my cosmetic laser surgery, but that does not diminish my accolades for him. He is an awesome doctor who is very competent is his specialty field of laser cosmetic surgery. He listens to your concerns and has the skills to prescribe exactly the course of action to achieve the expected final results.

Dr. Murgia is the best! He made me feel so comfortable and was very professional. He listened to my concerns , knew exactly what treatments to suggest, and only did what I was comfortable with, without pushing anything on me. Having been a competitive swimmer for 20+ years, I have had permanent broken blood vessels on either side of the bridge of my nose for many years from my goggles. You would never find me leaving the house without a dab of cover up on it. Also, after turning 30, I have acquired a multitude of sun damage, scarring, and pigmentation. I never knew there was a solution, I thought that this was all was just something I would have to live with. Dr. M opened my eyes to the possibility of having clear, even toned skin. After going through a quick and easy laser treatment as well as microneedling, I couldn't believe how much of the damage just disappeared!
