Is there any way to get rid of my droopy mouth corners? (Photo)

My mom has droopy lines on the corners of her mouth so I’m guessing I got them too by genetics but is there anyway to get rid of them? It really brings my self esteem down.

Thank you for your question and photo. This concern can be addressed with some different treatments. A neuromodulator like Botox targets the overactive muscles that lead to the downturned mouth corners, raising them upward. Results will last 3-4 months for most patients. Filler can also be used, either alone or in combination with the neuromodulator. Finally, a surgical lift may also be an option to achieve a longer-lasting result. Jowls can be addressed many different ways. Skin tightening can help and so can filler or even a combination of the two. If it is caused by tight muscles in the jaw, then even Botox or Dysport can make a difference.

Hi, droopy corner of the mouth is an easy fix. One way is to use Botulinum toxin to relax the muscles that pull down the corner of the mouth. This treatment lasts between 3-4 months. Hi @elena.ortiz! I recommend getting 2 units of Botox into the DAO muscle. The injections stop the DAO muscle pulling down the corners of the mouth. Treatment will cause the corners of the mouth to be slightly lifted, giving the mouth a more relaxed, happy, youthful and pleasing appearance.

Droopy mouth corners that give you that RBF look can easily be corrected with either fillers or a procedure called corner lip lift. Fillers will need to be refreshed every 6 months to a year, whereas the corner list will last longer. Both are great solutions and I recommend speaking meet with a plastic surgeon who specializes in both of procedures to determine what's best for you.
