Answer: Vbeam laser treatment can help reduce the redness Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Scarring following a mastopexy Hello, and thank you for your questions and your photo. Based on the limited photos that were provided it does look like you have some widening of your scars. The scars are more than likely continuing to mature and may continue to improve for approximately 12 months following your procedure. In many instances larger implants will promote a widening of the scalp following this procedure. You can discuss all of this with your treating physician. Best of luck.

Answer: Normal healing after a breast lift It is often very difficult to give good advice from photographs. From what I can see, you seem to have normal healing throughout. It is not unusual for scars to improve not only over months but years. It looks like you are off to a good start.

Answer: Normal Healing Discuss scar management with your surgeon. As long as the scars are red or pink, protect them from sun exposure. Once they are matured ( a white / flesh color) the sun will not affect them. It is not unusual for it to take months and longer for scars to mature. It appears from your photo that you are healing well.
