Hi Doctors! I had two syringes of Restylane injected under my eyes last February that left a vein like lump under my left eye, which I later had dissolved. Since then, I visited an oculoplastic surgeon that injected a bit more Restylane under both eyes, and also had voluma placed in my cheekbones. I feel that I look much worse than before I did anything, as my under eyes now look older than my age (30), and it looks as if I have a triangle shape underneath my eyes. Can this be fixed and how?
Answer: Tear Trough Hi @NYC87. Thank you for sharing your photos-- it appears that you have been overfilled in the tear trough area. This can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Tear Trough Filler Thank you for your question. From your photos, it appears that you have been overfilled in the tear trough area. This can be fixed by dissolving the filler with hyaluronidase and you can have more injected later if you want. I recommend having a follow up with an expert injector for an evaluation and proper treatment. Best of Luck!

Answer: Overfilled under-eyes or incorrectly placed filler? (Photos) Thank you for posting your photos with your interesting question. There is every chance that this can be improved. Most of the aging of the face is due to loss and remodeling of the facial bones which leads to characteristic changes in the face beginning around the lower eyelids and cheeks. Even a few millimeters can make a difference. This is why facial fillers like Restylane and volumizers like Volume and Sculptra can restore the pre existing volume producing natural and beautiful results. It appears that the Restylane and the Volume were placed to low along the lower eyelid orbital rim and upper cheek which is where the volume used to be. It is important to blend your lower eyelid and cheek junction like it used to be. The results, however, are not only which filler is used, but the skill set and aesthetic eye of the injector. In other words, these fillers are not merely commodities. I recommend that you have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is very experienced with facial injections. You can bring along a photograph of yourself from a few years ago as a reference.

Answer: Correcting under eye filler Based on your photos and your age, 2-3 syringes of Restylane under the eye is likely too much volume. The under eye does not require large amount of filler in general and can often be overfilled if done too aggressively. The Voluma may also be contributing to your result if it was injected in the wrong place. The best way to fix your problem is to dissolve most or all of the filler in the under eye and cheek region. This is done with an injection hyaluronidase. Once the filler is gone, you can get back to your baseline. Then I would recommend visiting a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who specializes in the face and has a lot of experience with fillers and the under eye region in particular. Careful injection of the right amount of filler in this area can give you an excellent result.Best of luck!

Answer: Fillers under eyes It appears you are way overcorrected and the filler ,may not be placed exactly where you want. I would use hyaluronidase to remove it and then wait at least a month and have it redone by a board certified dermatologist who is experienced with fillers
