What to do about bumps 2 months after Restylane lip injections? (Photo)

I had restylane injected in both lips about 2 months ago. There are several box like bumps on the inside of the top lip which are not noticeable unless I evert my lip. The bumps on the bottom lip are visible all the time. I have had juvederm and restylane before without bumps. Bumps seem to have become more prominent over the past month. Is this due to poor injection technique? Bad reaction? Do I need hyaluronidase? Should I never get injections in lips or anywhere else again?

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!

Hyaluronidase can work to dissolve filler. It sometimes takes a series of treatments to dissolve filler. I hope this helps.

There is probably no harm in having fillers injected around the mouth and cheek prior to your dental surgery; however, it would be prudent not to have these procedures performed in such close proximity just to be cautious. Hi @mercedz30. Based on your photos, the filler was placed too superficially. i would recommend dissolving the filler with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
