1 ml of Restylane kysse 6 days ago and lips are still swollen/bottom lip is stiff in some areas - is this normal?

I had 1ml of restylane injected 3 months ago, and the product had dissolved in my upper lip and a little remained in bottom lip. A week ago I had another 1ml restylane kysse injected and now my lips are still swollen/looks quite unnatural. I understand it takes 2 weeks to completely heal but shouldn't some of the swelling have gone by now?

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question. It is common to have some swelling and bruising after fillers for lip augmentation which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the area to help reduce the swelling and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. If you have any other concerns please contact your treating physician.
