I'm almost 4 weeks post op, still seeing a lot of swelling, at least I hope it's swelling otherwise bad nose job!, but I was wondering how long after rhinoplasty do the surgeons take the "after" photos, cause they all seem to look better than before, as to right now I seem to look worse than pre op!

Answer: Post op photos rhinoplasty I usually wait a year to take postop photos on a rhinoplasty. It can take up to 18 months to see your final results. Right now you have swelling post op which takes time to go down.

Answer: Photos after nasal surgery Dear Sjd12345,Post surgery photos are usually taken once swelling has subsided significantly and healing has taken place. For nose, I find that pictures capture residual swelling much more than other parts of the face. You may look presentable in person within few weeks after surgery, but in photos it will still look too big. For this reason, we usually do not take post-op photos for at least 6 months after surgery and sometimes one year after. Hope that helps.
