It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.
It is strongly recommended a twice-daily lifetime use of Rogaine (minoxidil 5%), beginning 2 weeks after your surgery (to help your grafts grow faster). If your scalp is sensitive to Rogaine, then instead use it once daily for 3 days a week. Since you would be using Minoxidil, you can expect to potentially experience dryness and flakiness. For shampoos, after 14 days post-op you can begin to alternate daily between Regenepure DR and NT shampoo (or a similar line).
You can start to use minoxidil and other hair growth supportive drugs or food supplaments (those contains biotin, zinc, folic acid, methionine, saw palmetto etc) 2 weeks after surgery. You may wash your head just like before operation how often and which shampoo you use.
Minoxidil has not value to promote graft growth and unless you were on the drug prior to the hair transplant, I would advise you not to adict your hair to minoxidil as you wait to see the results of the transplant
