Can laughing affect freshly injected Restylane?

Question

I just got restylane in my nasal labial folds and laugh lines around my mouth earlier today. A few hours later I went out with old friends for a few hours and laughed the whole time. Can laughing impact the restylane?The doctor joked saying not to go to a comedy club but I laughed just as hard if not harder!

Laughing should not have any effect on your Restylane treatment.  If you are concerned about your result, please visit your doctor for assessment.

Your Retstylane injections should not be affected by laughing or smiling.  The product doe not move after it is injected and I would not be concerned.  Best, Dr. Green

Thank you for your question.  Restylane is a relatively firm filler, and is often injected fairly deeply into the skin.  It often requires firm, sustained pressure or massage to displace or move Restylane after it has been injected.  I doubt that laughing with friends would have any impact on your treatment.  I hope this helps!
