I had gone through CO2 fractional resurfacing and don't see any visible result in 1 month after it. Instead, the period of redness (erythema) lasted for 3 weeks. Is CO2 really effective when you need to deal with top layers of skin, for example remove nevus. I understand it's more effective for wrinkles and restoring collagen in deeper layers of skin since it has deeper impact (longer wave). But if we want to remove nevus and do it with less number of laser sessions, will Erbium be better ?

Laser resurfacing can cause some post-op swelling which usually subsides in 7-10 days. You need to check in with the surgeon who did the laser because the description of the amount of swelling does seem a bit excessive. A short course of oral steroids (medrol dose-pak) could help with the edema...
