The best skin clinic. 10 10 10 10 10 cross the board. Can't be happier with my results. Everyone is professional and friendly. A great deal of amazing effort have been putting into by the team to make sure clients are comfortable and relaxed. The clinical environment is super nice and relaxing. The standard of service Dr Manoharan maintains is really really high. I have been telling all my friends about the team, and can't recommend it enough.
This was the most professional and friendly experience from enquiry to completion. The actual recovery and outcome was so much better than I expected. Any trepidation I had in the beginning was appeased by the friendly knowledgeable and experienced staff and a especial thank you to Doctor Manoharen. I knew I was completely in safe hands with him. The outcome was fabulous. It wiped 10 years off my face . And I must say the last ten years had been hard and stressful. These last years left me with a permanent scowl on my face when I wasn’t anymore . I got my fresh-faced smile back again. It’s a real boost to my confidence and my positive outlook for the future. Amazingly happy quality of service I received.
Highly professional in performance and attitude. Dr Manoharan is friendly and easy in his manners. He explains clearly principles of treatment, expected results and cost of treatment. He is efficient in procedures and and gentle and considerate in their delivery.
This is my second review for Brisbane Skin Clinic, the first being for CO2 laser last year. This is for the Fraxel laser but also for the fabulous Skin Gym program run by Brisbane Skin Clinic. The Fraxel treatment there was a great treatment and has taken my skin to the next level in terms of eliminating fine lines, open pores and general feel. I signed up for the 12 month Skin Gym program which includes a monthly chemical peel, quarterly Fraxel and some great product. Not only has it been so helpful having my skin on a regular program but Dr Manoharan and his team continue to impress with their professionalism and truly friendly approach. I can highly recommend this clinic and the treatments they offer.
Dr Manoharan is fabulous. The work he recommended and did was well-considered and tailored to my needs and my skin. During the procedure, he reassured me and explained what was happening making me feel very safe and comfortable. His staff have been and continue to be incredibly supportive and well informed, making sure I had all questioned answered and needs met. I plan to establish maintenance procedures to build on the work we have done already. I am 56 and feel I am looking at myself 10 years younger! Big. Big, thank you!
Review Brisbane Skin Shobhan Manoharan After seeing my friends spend large amounts of money for a course of skin treatments at premises often situated in shopping centres. The results were barely noticeable to me and I started my journey of discovery for an alternative treatment that would give a noticeable transformation. This is how I discovered CO2 and watched videos and learnt as much about the procedure as was available. Once I was convinced this was the most promising outcome for skin rejuvenation I went about finding the right skin specialist. Once I found Doctor Shobhan Manoharan at Brisbane Skin in Newstead I got a referral from my GP and made an appointment. Doctor Manoharan thoroughly checked my skin for the suitability of using the CO2 procedure on my face and discussed potential outcomes. Doctor Manoharan recommended a full face CO2 which I agreed to proceed. The first two weeks after the procedure it is best to lay low while the skin goes through the most rigorous healing rejuvenation process, then the skin continues to rejuvenate over the next few months. The results are nothing short of astounding. I totally recommend Dr Manoharan and his amazing well trained caring staff when you want a transformation and results that will last for years.
Professional, courtesy, friendly with excellent knowledge. Great results achieved on my scar reduction. He Monitored my progress with the clinicians and changed the program as required to ensure best results are achieved. Very Approachable and willing to take the time to consult on any concerns or information you require.
I had a consultation back in December with Dr Manoharan where he explained the CO2 laser procedure. My eyes were my main concern . After speaking with him I finally booked in for June. I have to say that I was very apprehensive about the procedure. Dr Manoharan and his team were really professional and certainly put me at ease.
I wanted to start using anti-aging skincare and ended up with inflamed and sore cystic acne from too many products. I saw my GP and used some anti-biotics but did not see any results. I searched online and found Brisbane Skin. I scheduled an appointment and saw a lovely nurse who gave me 3 skin peels 2 weeks apart. My results were a slight improvement in the immediate days following but I continued to develop new painful pimples. I was recommended an appointment with Dr Manoharan. I was visibly upset and he was very caring. We discussed my options and we decided to start a course of Accutane. I am happy with the results so far. The clinic is clean and modern. The doctors and staff are professional.
I am in my mid-sixties and was concerned about facial wrinkles and poor skin tone. I visited Dr. Manoharan for advice. He was very pleasant, explained my options, and suggested Co2 Ablative Laser treatment. I had the procedure, by Dr. Manoharan, four weeks ago. I am absolutely thrilled with the result. I had not expected such a dramatic improvement and my friends have been telling me the difference is amazing. The procedure went smoothly thanks to the helpful staff and Dr. Manoharans caring manner and extensive medical experience. I have been a registered nurse for over 40 years with many years spent working in operating theaters, and I highly recommend Dr. Manoharan, and his staff, all competent and thorough, with excellent follow-up care.
Scarring like yours will improve with subscision, to release the deeper tethers, but will still need a laser/RF to improve the surface and medium level scars. I would favour a combination of subcision and fractional CO2 resurfacing, but with preparation due to your darker skin type. There is more downtime, but significantly greater results than applying deeper energy with RF needling. Having said that, RF needling is a good option if you have less downtime, or are looking at a less invasive treatment option, but will require more sessions of treatment. Seek an experienced practitioner. Best wishes Dr Shobhan Manoharan
When it comes to hooding that you have, surgery or low level skin tightening energy based devices such as thermage or high frequency focused ultra sound are really the best answers however you have expressed that the hooding does not concern you and it is really the wrinkles and textural change that seems to be more of an issue. For this certainly a series of fractional CO2 laser treatments or a heavier fully ablative upper lid resurfacing with CO2 or Erbium YAG laser may yield very good outcomes. This needs to be performed in very experienced hands with the right devices due to the sensitive nature of the skin in this area. Recovery time can range from 3 days to 2 weeks based on the intensity of treatment. Kind regards Dr Shobhan Manoharan
Generally there should not be any contraindication to having fractional Co2 after pdo threads and we often combine both procedures consecutively with good outcomes. Ensure that you seek experienced practitioners for both procedures.
You seem to be a good candidate for co2 laser resurfacing of the lower lids. If there are no contraindications, and performed by a skilled practitioner, this should improve the creping and wrinkles the lower lids significantly. I would generally treat the top lid at the same time, but results may be unpredictable - there may be enough lift to keep surgery away for a few years, or you may consider surgery from the outset. Seek a consult from an experienced laser or oculoplastic surgeon. Best wishes, Shobhan
Thank you for your question. Pores can be a troublesome concern for many. Often a combination of medical and procedural management can give you desirable outcomes. Topical therapy such as retinol and hydroxy acids are very useful especially for milder cases and maintenance. In more stubborn cases you could also consider chemicals peels. In regards to laser both non ablative and ablative can be useful. Usually for pores if CO2 or erbium is utilised it tends to be on a fractional mode low to moderate settings. This can provide some nice results but may require maintenance. There is no silver bullet but certainly the situation can be improved for most.
