You sound like an excellent candidate for laser hair removal with your skin and hair color. That said, some devices do tend to work for individuals better than others. You should be a good candidate for hair removal given that you have light skin and dark hair.  Both of the lasers that you mentioned should work very well for your type of hair.  The expertise of the operator is very important in programming the laser settings to get the best outcome.  We use the lumenis lightsheer in our office and get very good results.  Question the provider as to how much experience they have doing the procedure and who is actually programming the laser.
