Intermittent fasting months before surgery?

Hello dear doctors! I have 360 lipo and a BBL scheduled for this summer (end of July) and I am currently fasting for Ramadan for the month (hey, it makes my granny happy so I go with it) . Is this going to have a bad effect on my surgery if I resume healthy meals 3x a day post Ramadan in May? I have quit smoking and drinking last month to prepare my body for the surgery but I’m SO worried that fasting will have long term negative effects. I can always sneak food if you think it’s best.

Best to ask your plastic surgeon for his/her recommendation. I recommend that my patients minimize sitting, even with a pillow (boppy or BBL), for the first two weeks. If they must sit, every 30 minutes or an hour, they should get up and stand for a few seconds to take the pressure off. This...

In most cases, liposuction and BBL can performed even if tummy tuck is indicated if pregnancy in the future is planned. If you are not satisfied with the lipo results, a short scar tummy tuck can be performed three to six months later.

Is drainage always necessary with lipo 360/BBL?

I have not used drains after liposuction or BBL surgeries as I have not found them to be necessary. The risk for infection with drains may be higher. I try to avoid them unless someone is having a problem with fluid collections
