I had rhinoplasty with the let down technique but the hump isn't gone, will it eventually go down?

I had a closed rhinoplasty with the let down technique 16 days ago. I can still see a little hump on the bridge of my nose. I'm afraid it won't go. I read that with the let down technique it has more chances that the hump stays there. Please help with any advice.

Hello and thanks for the question.  16 days is a very short period of time in terms of recovery following rhinoplasty.  It is possible that the small hump that you still see is swelling from the surgery. The swelling lasts several months, though there tends to be improvement with each passing week.  I recommend discussing your concerns with your surgeon.  Discuss tips they may have for decreasing swelling. If several months pass and there is still a concern, again I would recommend discussing to see if anything further can be done. Hope that helps and good luck.

It is still very early days and not uncommon to see a bump after your surgery. This is usually swelling and can often take a few months for it to settle so I would not worry at all at this stage. Best Wishes. Philip Michael
