I was taking tetracycline for a month. One month after I stopped taking it, my hair has started to severely fall out. It has been one month since it started and it has not stopped but has been reduced a little. I am scared. Does my hair grow back? Is tetracycline scarring or non scarring? I read somewhere that monocycline is non scarring but what about tetracycline?

Any steroids can cause hair loss and acne as well as some other issues. I suggest you weigh the pros and cons of taking this type of medication. Treatments like PRP and progesterone can be used along with minoxidil and finesteride to help limit the loss potential. Best, Dr. Emer.
