Why does hair fall out more when is oily/dirty?

I find that when my hair is oily or uncleaned for some days it falls out more when i wash it.

If you have a bad reaction to a drug it can cause hair loss. Minoxidil is a drug that can irritate your skin.If minoxidil grows hair and you stop using it, the hairs the grew will likely fall off.

Husband on 1mg finasteride, this year restarted for 6 months daily. Can he continue taking it every other day instead of daily?

My first question is why are you wanting to do this?The product is most effective by taking 1 mg everyday.I would suggest getting some advice from the MD that prescribe the med to you since they know your history the best.

Topical solutions in general are great tools to combat hair loss if used properly but unfortunately most patients do not comply with the directions.With rogaine, you are to apply in the morning and apply in the evening. The same holds true with nanoxidil however,  the proper dosage is 6 pumps 2 ...

Is it recommened to use Minoxidil for hair loss caused by Iron Deficiency anemia ?

If your hair loss is truly from iron deficiency anemia then you should treat the cause.  Minoxidil will not cure hair loss.  It only works as long as you keep using it.

You can breast feed while taking Rogaine but if you are concerned always speak with your doctor.  The prescribing drug book states "Probably Safe".
