Can Fractora cause a loss of facial fat like Fraxel?

You can indeed lose some fat with fractora, so the energy settings and depth need to be used with caution in areas of concern for to avoid or further fat loss.  This is a normal part of aging, so not accelerating it is important.  On the other hand, areas of unwanted fat like the jowls and under chin area can be improved by targeting for some fat loss.  The 60 pin fractora tips should not cause fat loss.  The 24 pin size can as they go down 3 mm.  Inmode company is actually designing some to go even deeper to help in areas where some fat loss is desirable.  Typically laser based treatments from the outside don't penetrate as deep nor cause fat loss.  Fractora also has insulated tips that can be used on all skin types even very dark latinos and african american skin.  It uses radiofrequency energy.  Our spa carries both CO2 laser and fractora, so we choose based upon the patient's wishes and what is best for them.  In general fractora needs repeating once a year while a series of 3 laser treatments depending upon the settings can last several years.  Otherwise, fractora can be every bit as powerful as CO2 laser and in some ways more.   The settings are quite customizable.  Best regards.
