Thanks for you question. Sorry to hear that you were in pain during the procedure. Depending on the patient, sometimes numbing cream just isn't enough. In the future, ask your technician if they have other numbing agents. Such as injectible lidocaine, pain medications, an IV drip, or ProNox. Best Anil Shah MD
We have used Fractora with the numbing cream only. It has been tolerated well. I have treated areas all over the face.
It is normal to experience some pain during the procedure. Usually we use a higher strength numbing cream during fractora and reapply after 30 minutes. You can also get a dental block to help further with pain.
Great question! A couple of things to consider. Since fractora is a deeper treatment, and due to heat more intense then let's say Vampire Facial, the numbing cream could have been to weak, the application could have been wrong, number of times it was applied... No doctor was present on site to be able to inject medicine for blocking the nerve. There are some patients who are more sensitive, and the same medicine will affect them differently. Going to a board certified cosmetic surgeon office would give you an opportunity to have more options to prevent pain.

I use Fractora for skin tightening. I especially like it along the jawline and the cheeks. I perform 3 treatments about 3-4 weeks apart.
