I am interested in having laser lipo to reduce my bra rolls. They are the first place I gain weight and the very last to go. It makes me feel incredibly self conscious that I look so horrible from behind. Now I have weight on me after having had a baby and it's like after I gave birth my stomach just sling shot itself right onto my back. Will laser lipo be enough? Or will I need full out lipo with general? I run 2 miles daily and am 3m PP

Liposuction and weight loss would decrease the "rolls" below the bra strap. Please note, most women continue to experience some minor rolls after Liposuction due to the pressure from their bra straps. Exercise exercise each and every day, if your doctor says it is good for you then you should do it right away!

Thanks for the question. The anatomy of the bra roll is different from other areas of the body. The fat is thicker and denser and only in one layer. This means flattening the area is difficult. The only thing that really works is melting and softening the fat with an ultrasound device called VASER than performing the procedure in multiple directions allowing the skin to redrape. The bra roll or mid back fat responds very well to smart lipo and is easily one of the most popular areas to have surgery on. You're a great candidate for it. The bra roll fat tends to be more fibrous and thus requires laser energy to break it up and have a better results. Smart Lipo, Vaser or bodytite works best for this type of area since they all produce energy and heat to "iron' out this area. Once you have the surgery done your body's metabolism will rev up in order to heal itself and you will be burning a lot of calories after surgery. If you piggy back with a diet afterward you will lose weight faster than normal due to that effect. This will also give you a better result.

The fat in the upper back/bra line area can be very dense and fibrous, making it difficult to remove with any form of Liposuction. It is also very important to make sure that the fibrous band that pull the skin down are broken up to get a smooth result. Laser Lipo can breakup the fat and bands easier and help tighten the skin afterwards. Thanks for your post. Yes, if you are looking to target this one area on your body, I think you would get a nice result from laser-assisted liposuction (Smartlipo) which is done as an office-based procedure. It can work quite well, but it cannot promise to completely tighten excess skin. I bet you would be a good candidate for it, so I'd suggest meeting w/ a local plastic surgeon who offers it.
