How do I find out if Restylane was authentic?

Question

I had restylane W board certified ps in October. Hyaluronidase will only dissolve my own tissue not the filler. I have the lot number and expiration date. Galderma confirmed it is a US product. But if a seller sells counterfeit filler it can also use a lot number from a real batch. I questioned my physician and she does not reply when I questioned her. I threatened patient abandonment. How do I find out if I was injected with real product?

there is a sticker with lot number and expiration that comes with the filler, if you are seriously questioning this then you ask for that.  however, if you have to question this either you do not have a good relationship with your physician or there is an issue with your trust in providers that needs to be evaluated. a reputable location would NEVER use anything but the best products. Best, Dr. Emer.

If you have the lot number and expiration date and have checked with Galderma that these numbers are legitimate that is decent proof.  That along with the fact that you went to a board certified plastic surgeon for treatment would further show the product was likely legitimate.

Hi there,If a HA was used in October; not much would still be present now.  However if there was still filler present that is not an HA a certified injector would be able to detect the difference.See a different PS.Best of luck..
