My upper eyelid started to sank due to volume loss. (Double eyelid looking triple )I am not sure if I should do fat transfer or filler. Fat transfer sounds great since it's almost permanent. But I also can't predict how my eye gonna age with it. By looking at my mom who is early 50's. Her upper eye is droopy, and I assume having fat on that area cause more sag in future? On the other hand, filler seems great. But I have to keep injecting all my life and also it's not my own tissue.

Answer: Upper eyelid options Without seeing a picture it's tricky to advise, but I would likely recommend upper eyelid surgery for heaviness of the lid. This procedure is relatively simple and patients tolerate it well. Sometimes a browlift is also a nice option to lessen the weight of the upperlid skin and really open the eyes. The incisions for a browlift are hidden in the hairbearing area of the scalp so there are no visible incisions. In order to get the best advise, I recommend scheduling a consultation appointment with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. After having had an exam, your provider can better discuss treatment options.
