How long will it take for a Phenol burn to go away? (Photo)

I Had phenol injection as nerve block but some of the phenol burned my skin. How long does the red/brown discoloration takes to turn normal? It has already been 1 and a half month since accident.

When there is enlargement of the masseter chewing muscles, this can cause widening of the jaw, and a somewhat round appearance of the lower face. In appropriate patients, we may start with Botox 25 units per side, and then reevaluate for a possible dose adjustment. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Hello,Thank you for your question. A cannula is a better option over the needle. You will have less swelling, bruising, and pain. However, it is imperative that the physician knows how to use them correctly. Consult with local physicians until you find one you are confident in. Good luck!
