I have another Emsculpt question. Think I'm gearing up to try it. Do you just refrain from exercising the body parts being treated during the two-week period but can do other exercise? So if getting abs and butt treated, avoid direct abwork and squats but could otherwise lift, run, and play sports during the 2 week treatment period? Thanks in advance!
Answer: Exercising During Treatment With Emsculpt Thank you for your question.Emsculpt is an intense treatment/workout that builds muscle and burns fat in a very efficient and effective way. (you are getting the equivalent supraphysiologic muscle contraction work of around 20,000 sit ups) It is ok to get back to the gym however if you are feeling discomfort, simply refrain from doing exercises that target the part of the body that you are having treated etc... It is important for example, if you are treating your abs, to let them rest and recover for at least 24 hours between treatments.

Answer: EmSculpt Hello,Thank you for your question. It would be best to avoid a direct workout to the treatment area on the day of treatment. Other than that, you should be fine to resume your normal workout schedule. Good luck!

Answer: EmSculpt and exercise is a perfect combo Thank you for a great question. There is absolutely no downtime and no need to avoid gym prior, during or after your EmSculpt sessions. Many of our patient workout prior to their treatment and some even feel an extra energy boost after their session that they want to go to the gym again! You really get a surge of energy after your session. Due to unique technology of the EmSculpt ,there is never any cramping except maybe just slight soreness immediately after and the next day. None of our patients had to take the time off from working out. It's been the opposite, they wanted to return the next day, but the recommended time lapse between sessions is minimum 2 days :). You can most definitely have the treatment on your abdomen and your buttock area on the same day and feel totally fine.Hope this helps. Best, Dr.Avaliani

Answer: Emsculpt and exercise during treatment period? Hi Jamie, Common sense is one of our greatest senses. It is fine to maintain your activities after Emsculpt treatments, but if specific anatomic muscle groups are targeted during the treatment, then those areas should be rested for a day or two. For instance if the buttocks are treated then squats can be avoided for a day. If the abdomen is treated then avoid crunches for a day or two. Running, yoga, golf, and scrabble are all okay following your Emsculpt treatments. As with any aesthetic procedure please be sure to choose your treating physician carefully based on their skill, knowledge, experience, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Answer: Emsculpt Results & Post-Treatment Workout Schedule Emsculpt works to build muscle and burn fat, and is a very effective treatment. The reason I offer this treatment in my office, is because it works and I see real results on my patients. This is an intense "workout" for specific muscle groups, like the glutes, your abs, and quads. Emsculpt delivers electro-magnetic waves for an intense and effective "20,000 supraphysiologic muscle contractions" over a single 30-minute treatment session. To put this in perspective, a highly-trained professional athlete might be able to contract 40% of their muscle capacity, however Emsculpt can contract at a rate of 90%, causing an average increase in muscle size and fibers of 16% at 4-weeks post-procedure, and 23% at 3-months post-procedure, and a simultaneous loss of fat of an average of 19% after 4-weeks. A recent study proves the muscles continues to INCREASE in size and the fat loss continues over the following months, with continued improvements up to 6-months. These are truly incredible results. As with any intense muscle-building workout, My advice is that you give the specific muscle group treated 2 to 3 days of recovery time, then resume fitness activities if you feel ready. If you are sore 3 days out, hold off overworking that area and let the way your body feels be your guide.
