Question

I recently got my hair cut very short two weeks ago. I am worried that i might have DUPA. For reference, I pulled a hair from the side of my head and it was about 1/16th of an inch. Please let me know.

No I dont think that you have DUPA .İt is very serious condition that you observe miniaturisation of hair on all scalp even at the back (donor area ) . Your hair seems to be thick, shiny and very healthy on photos.

Diffuse unpatterned alopecia (DUPA) is a form of male balding where the occipital area (back of the scalp) shows follicular miniaturization. I'd recommend you see a hair specialist who understands DUPA if you're worried. It's not an all or none phenomenon. You do not state your age which is really important in answering your question. You certainly don't fit the perfect definition of DUPA.  If you're 40 years or older, you don't have DUPA. If you're under 25, it's hard to tell.  DUPA can present later.If you're 25-40, you may wish to see a hair loss specialist for baseline assessment and monitoring. It's great that you recognize the existence of DUPA.  Many don't.
