Originally I wanted tear through filler for my dark under eyes, but the nurse who does my other treatments does not do this procedure, only mid face filler which she has recommended for me. Would it be worth having this or save my money and just find someone who does the tear through? I feel my under eyes are very hollow. Thanks!
Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles - Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2); Renuvion; Microneedling/PRP; Peels At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Filler When filling under the eyes it is a good idea to also fill the mid face/cheek area. This allows the contours of the face to be more harmonious. By only treating one area the volume discrepancies can look more apparent.

Answer: Under eye hollows Dear raw alton,Yes I think you are right, a little bit of filler in the tear trough would help with that slight darkness under the eyes. You have a pretty and youthful face and to my eye I don't think you need any cheek filler. It's interesting that the SOOF (sub orbicularis oculi fat pad) starts to deplete from your 20s no matter what your weight is doing. So in your case this is what needs plumping up again, and not your cheeks. When you choose a new injector for this, look at their medical qualifications, how you can access them if things go wrong and what are the expenses of that. It's an excellent question as those who have your best interests will love that question and those that aren't capable of helping or are unwilling to help, will dismiss this as being irrelevant. Answer: Mid face filler Hello, In my experience, as we get older we loose volume throughout the mid face casing an undesired sunken and shadowing under the eyes. In my patient, I commonly recommend mid face filler first to bring the cheeks back to where they are supposed to be, and decrease the shadowing under the eyes. Once the mis face volume loss is replaced, we can then turn to under eye fillers as needed. If the tear trough region is injected incorrectly you can have a bulgy eye look. - Dr. Ife Rodney

Answer: Difference in Mid Face & Tear Trough Filling Although many injected worst distinguish between tear trough filling and the mid face, for an expert, there is no difference, since to properly eliminate the tear trough you actually treat the mid face, elevating the lower tissues below the orbital ligament. Those to try to treat the tear trough superiorly and superficially, simply risk causing significant swelling and other problems. Your tear troughs should be easy to treat. See in expert who treats this entire area all the time.
