I need guidance on what direction to take. I am in my 20s. Double chins run in the family. Braces at an early age caused my jaw to be pushed back. The dentist also told me I have TMJ with muscle and bone growth causing my square jaw and facial asymmetry. No matter how much weight I lose, my face will always look chubby. I'm also getting slight marionette lines from lower chubby cheeks. Would you suggest a chin implant? Botox in the masseter muscles? Lipo?

I have been performing chin implant surgery for over 20 years and tell my patients the implant is solidly in place after 1 month. I still suggest asking your surgeon for his/her ultimate opinion.
PMMA is a relatively poor choice for jaw augmentation. It is hard to work with, does not adapt to the bone well and is difficult to secure to the bone. Silicone would be a far better choice and has a much more established track history of success.
Being an option, chin implants have serious disadvantages, specially in
the mid and long term, patients are rarely happy with them after 5-6
years, all are out by then or later.Consider the chin advancement by means of sliding genioplasty, the advantages are:-lifetime procedure, no more...
