Constant pain on my soft palate after Botox injection

Question

I had a botox injection on top corner of my eyebrow, a day after I started to have tingling on my face and shooting pain on my soft palate, I have been told it is a trigeminal neuralgia but I did not have this before the botox injection, is there any solution for this pain? does it go a way?

Although the side effects you mentioned are not listed side effects of Botox, botox can migrate and effect systems in remote areas. An example of this is that botox can even affect bladder control. Because of the timing of the injections, it would be very difficult to attribute this to coincidence. Should you experience problems swallowing or breathing you need to either go to an emergency room or see your doctor as soon as possible If this does not progress, these symptoms should go away as the Botox effect wears off.       jlr

Hello Montaseri3,I'm sorry to hear about your neuralgia.  The nerve that supplies sensation for your eyebrow is not the same as the nerve that provides the sensation to your soft palate.  I would highly doubt there is any relationship between the Botox injection and your pain.  There are treatments for neuralgia that should be discussed with your primary care physician, otolaryngologist, or neurologist.  I hope this helps and good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear about this problem you have developed!  I do not believe it is related to your Botox injection, though.  I think it is an unfortunate coincidence, and certainly isn't a reported side effect of Botox. I recommend you see a neurologist who can help you to manage this problem.
